Who is Lindsey Ferreira?

My name is Lindsey Ferreira, and I’m running for US Congress to primary and unseat Democrat incumbent, Greg Landsman. My campaign is a 100% grassroots, people-powered campaign that takes absolutely no AIPAC, super PAC, or corporate money because I refuse to be beholden to billionaires, the Washington elite, and corporate and religous lobbyists who contribute to the systems of inequity, apartheid, poverty, and systematic oppression both here in the US and all over the world.

I’m a disabled Navy veteran, Muslim woman, activist, community volunteer, parent to a 19yr old, and a small business owner.

I’m also neurodivergent, the poster child for ADHD, an extremely sarcastic asshole, curse worse than a sailor — like I’ll say shit that will make Satan and a trucker Blush then come back asking for advice and tips, I’m overly transparent, and genuinely authentic.

I’m not just running a campaign, but a people-powered movement to fight the corporate, billionaire, religious, and political establishment, fight to protect and regain our democracy, protect the constitution, hold corrupt politicians in Congress accountable for ignoring the constitution, supporting, enabling, and actively aiding Trump and his administration in the multitude of crimes they’re committing.

Additionally, I’m fighting to lower the costs of healthcare, vision, and dental care and create a pathway for healthcare, vision, and dental for all.  I’m fighting to lower the cost of housing and rent, saving and expanding Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and childcare, save and protect public education, fight to make sure women can make their own reproductive and healthcare decisions, fight for LGBTQ+ and Trans protections, and raising the federal minimum wage to at least $20/hr.

Campaign Goals & Actions

One of the major missions of my campaign is creating a movement of people who want to see a government that is for the people by the people. It’s time for our seat at the table. This involves getting my campaign supporters regardless of where they live, involved in their own communities and neighborhoods to create change from the ground up.

The campaign is going to set up community fairs and workshops where people can get plugged into volunteering with local organizations, joining groups, receiving education about effective activism and protesting, organizing mutual aid programs etc.

  • We’re going to be setting up resource events in different communities with county programs, and organizations where community members can hopefully get set up with needed services, register to vote, get library cards etc.

  • We’re also hoping to be able to set up a career fair with all union based companies for community members to get connected with union jobs.

  • I’ll be doing multiple meet and greet events, some that are themed, ie bring your dog/cat meet and greet, coffee and brunch, a cookout, and town halls

  • I’m going to be doing livestream meet and greets on TikTok for supporters outside of Cincinnati to be able to meet, say hey and ask questions.

  • I’m going to be holding educational events both virtually and in person, working with different organizations and professionals to talk about and teach people what their legal rights when they are dealing with cops and actual ICE agents, and their rights when dealing with ICE impersonators, starting and building mutual aid programs, dismantling the systems of white supremacy and deconstructing from whiteness, teaching people about Islam and Muslims in order to build better relations and understanding with the Muslim community, teaching about how government actually works — the roles of Congress, Legislative branch, Executive branch, local governments and more.

  • I’m going to be going to assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospitals in Cincinnati to do a meet and greet and pet therapy with my service dog Gus.
